شُعَيْفَةٌ

[ diminutive of شَعَفَةٌ: plural شُعَيْفَاتٌ.] One says, مَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ إِلَّا شُعَيْفَاتٌ There is not upon his head aught save some small hairs of the [pendent lock of hair termed] ذُوءَابَة. (S, O, K.)
