شَاصٍ

; feminine شَاصِيَةٌ, plural of the latter شَاصِيَاتٌ and شَوَاصٍ; particle n. of 1 (S, TA) as said of the eyes [i. e. Fixedly open, or being raised, &c.]: (TA:) and of a water-skin, meaning Filled, or inflated, so that its legs are raised; and of a wine-skin, meaning filled, so that its legs are raised: and of a corpse, meaning Inflated, &c. (S, TA.) It is said in a prov.,

إِذَا ارْجَحَنَّ شَاصِيًا فَارْفَعْ يَدَا
