أَهْلِىٌّ

A domestic beast [or bird]; a beast [or bird] that keeps to the dwelling [of its owner]; (JK, Msb, K, TA;) opposite of وَحْشِىٌّ; (TA;) as also ↓ أَهِلٌ. (K.) You say حُمُرٌ أَهْلِيَّةٌ [Domestic asses]: (JK, TA:) occurring in a tradition, in which their flesh is forbidden to be eaten. (TA.)
