اثّف القِدْرَ

, (T, S, M, K,) verbal noun تَأْثِيفٌ, (S, K,) He put the cooking-pot upon the أَثَافِى[plural of أُثْفِيَّةٌ, q. v.]; (T,* S, M,* K;) as also أَثَفَهَا, (M, TA,) verbal noun أَثْفٌ; (TA;) or اثَفَهَا, (so in some copies of the K in article ثفى,) verbal noun إِيثَافٌ; (TA in that article;) the first of which is a dialect var. of ثَفَّاهَا, verbal noun تَثْفِيَةٌ; (S;) and أَثْفَاهَا, whence قِدْرٌ مُوءَثْفَاةٌ.
