عُكَنُ الدِّرْعِ means The folds of the coat of mail: so in a verse cited voce أَخْنَسُ: one says دِرْعٌ ذَاتُ
عُكَنٍ [A coat of mail having folds] when it is wide, folding upon the wearer by reason of its width. (TA.)
