عَزَقَ الأَرْضَ

The verb is [said to be] used only in relation to the earth, or land. (S, O, Msb, K.) [But] لَا تَعْزِقُوا occurs in a tradition as meaning Cut not ye (لَا تَقْطَعُو). (TA.)
