حَشَكَتِ الدِّرَّةُ

, aorist حَشِكَ , verbal noun حَشْكٌ and حُشُوكٌ; for the former of which, حَشَكٌ is used by poetic license: (S:) or حَشِكَت, aorist حَشَكَ , (TA,) verbal noun حَشَكٌ (K, TA) and حُشُوكٌ: (TA:) The flow of milk became full: (S:) or became vehement in the udder: or collected quickly therein: (K, TA:) but according to Lth, حَشْكٌ and ↓ حَشَكٌ are like نَفْضٌ and نَفَضٌ, and نَقْضٌ and نَقَضٌ; the former being a verbal noun, and the latter a subst. [in the proper sense of the term, apparently signifying milk collected, or collected quickly, in the udder]. (TA.)

[Hence,] حَشَكَتِ السَّحَابَةُ, (K,) aorist حَشِكَ , verbal noun حَشْكٌ, (TA,) (tropical:) The cloud had much water. (K, TA.) And حَشَكَتِ السَّمَاءُ, aorist حَشِكَ , verbal noun حَشْكٌ, (assumed tropical:) The sky let fall a rain such as is termed حَشْكَةٌ. (AZ, S.) And حَشَكَ الوَادِى, (assumed tropical:) The valley poured (دَفَعَ) with water. (TA.)

And حَشَكَتِ النَّخْلَةُ (tropical:) The palm-tree bore much fruit. (Yaakoob, S, K, TA.)

And حَشَكَ القَوْمُ, (S, K,) verbal noun حَشْكٌ, or, according to Th, حَشَكٌ, (TA,) (assumed tropical:) The people collected themselves together, or assembled. (Th, S, K.)

-A2- حَشَكَتْ لَبَنَهَا, verbal noun حَشْكٌ and حُشُوكٌ, She (a camel) collected her milk. (K.)

حَشَكَ النَّاقَةَ, (S, K,) aorist حَشِكَ , (K,) verbal noun حَشْكٌ, (TA,) He left milking the she-camel until her milk collected (S, K, TA) in her udder. (TA.)
