حُكُومَةٌ

a verbal noun of حَكَمَ [q. v.]: (K:) [and used as a simple subst.; plural حُكُومَاتٌ:] see حُكْمٌ, in two places.

Also [Judicial authority; authority to judge, give judgment, pass sentence, or decide judicially, فِى أَمْرٍ respecting an affair, or a case;] a subst. from اِحْتَكَمَ and تَحَكَّمَ; and so ↓ أُحْكُومَةٌ. (K, TA.)
