اصرخ

He aided, or succoured, another; in answer to a call, or cry; (S, A, Mgh, Msb;) as also استصرخ: (AHát, L:) the | in the former verb is said to have a privative effect, so that أَصْرَخْتُهُ signifies I made his crying, or vehement crying, &c., to cease: (TA:) and صَارِخَةٌ has the signification of the verbal noun of this verb, as a verbal noun [or rather quasi-verbal noun] of the measure فَاعِلَةٌ; (K;) and صَرِيخٌ also may have this signification in the Qur'an, 36:43, as is said in the Ksh [and by Bd].
