البَاغُوتُ

The festival, (A,) or a certain festival, (IAth, K,) of the Christians; (A, IAth, K;) [namely, Easter;] thus called according to some; but according to others, الباعوث [q. v.], with the unpointed ع and the three-pointed ث. (IAth.)
