A thing which the sea drives (S, A) and casts upon the shore. (TA.) And دَسَرَتِ السَّفِينَةُ المَاءَ بِصَدْرِهَا means The ship repelled, (TA,) or opposed, (M,) the water with its prow. (M, TA.)
