فَحَسَ

And فَحَسَ السَّلْتَ, aorist as above, (O,) and so the verbal noun, (O, K,) He rubbed [the ears off] the سلت, (O, K, TA,) a particular species of barley, (TA,) so that the awn, or beard, [thereof] became removed (O, K, TA) and scattered. (TA.)
