أَفْطَسُ

A man (S) having the bone of his nose wide and depressed; (M;) or depressed and ex- panded: (S, K:) having his nose spreading upon his face: (K:) feminine فطْسَاءُ. (M, K.) And it is also applied as an epithet to the nose itself [as meaning Having its bone wide and expanded; &c.]. (A in article نفس.)

تَمْرَةٌ فَطْسَاءُ means A date small in the drupe, having the base cleaving [to it]. (TA.)
