استفاه

, (S, K,) verbal noun اِسْتِفَاهَةٌ and اِسْتِفَاهٌ, (K,) the latter mentioned by Lh, (TA,) He (a man, S) ate, (S, K,) or drank, (K,) vehemently, after scantiness, (S, K,) or after weakness; (so in a copy of the S;) but seldom used in relation to drinking: or you say, استفاه فِى الطَّعَامِ, meaning he ate much of the food: so says IAar, not particularizing the act as being after scarcity or not.
