Dark; applied to night; as also ↓غَاطِشٌ and ↓غَطِشٌ: [feminine غَطْشَاءُ: see غَطْشَى:] and ↓تَغْطِيشٌ, a verbal noun [of غَطَّشَ] used as an epithet, signifies the same, applied to sight. (TA.)
