غِبْطٌ, Handfuls of reaped corn or seed-produce: plural غُبُوطٌ, (K, TA,) and, it is said, غُبُطٌ: or [rather] according to Et-Táïfee, غُبُوطٌ signifies the handfuls which, when the wheat is reaped, are put one by one; and غَبْطٌ is the singular: or, as AHn says, غُبُوطٌ signifies the scattered handfuls of reaped corn or seed-produce; one of which is termed غَبْطٌ.
