اِهْتَدَى

1.
He became rightly directed; followed a right direction; (K;) went aright; as also هَدَى. (S.)

He guided himself.

He went a right way: went aright.

لَا يَهْتَدِى إِلَى جِهَةٍ He cannot go aright: or knows not the way that he would pursue; or knows not in what direction to go: sometimes said of a drunken man.

لَا يَهْتَدِى لِأَمْرِهِ means He does not, or cannot, find the way to accomplish, or perform, his affair.

اِهْتَدَى He found, (MA,) or took (KL,) the right way or road. (MA, KL.)

دَاهِيَةُ لاَ يُهْتَدَى لَهَا, by which دَاهِيَةُ الغَبَرِ is explained in the S and O, means لَا يُهْتَدَى للَّنَّجَاءِ مِنْهَا, by which the same phrase is explained in the JK: or it may be well rendered A calamity in relation to which one knows not the right course to pursue.

اِهْتَدَى also signifies He continued to be rightly directed, or to follow a right dirertion: and he sought to be rightly directed, or to follow a right direction. (TA.)

اِهَدَّى and اِهِدِّى, for اِهْتَدَى; like اِعَذَّرَ and اِعِذِّرَ, for اِعْتَذَرَ.
