هَفَاتٌ

Stupid; foolish; of little sense. (S, K.) [But see its synonym لَفَاتٌ, voce أَلْفَتُ.] Authorities differ respecting this word and لَفَاتٌ, whether they should be written with ت or with ة or with both. (TA.)
