هَرْدَبَ

, inf. n. هَرْدَبَةٌ, (and هردب, TA, [a strange form: perhaps a mistake for هَرْدَابٌ or هِرْدَابٌ:]) He ran heavily. (IKtt &c., and K.)

هِرْدَبَّةٌ

(and هِرْدَبٌّ, TA) An old woman. (S, K.) Also, (as some say, TA,) Having a swollen belly, and cowardly: (S, K:) or cowardly, bulky, of little sense, swollen in the belly, and having no heart. (TA.) Accord. to Az, in the T, A large, long-bodied man is called هِرْدَبَّةٌ. (TA.)
