جَدَفَ said of a bird, a dialect var. of جَدَفَ: (S:) both signify He (a bird) went quickly (K, TA) with his wings; generally, when one of the wings had been shortened; (TA;) as also اجذف and انجذف: and so, both of these, with د. (K.)
