جَامٌ

[an epithet] of the measure فَعَّالٌ from الجَذْمُ meaning القَطْعُ: so in the phrase جَذَّامُ حَبْلِ الهَوَى [Wont to sever the bond of love], in a verse of Ows Ibn-Thaalabeh. (Ham p. 334.)
