The face, or countenance: synonym وَجْهٌ; as also جِيهٌ: (Lh, K:) the latter with kesr: (TA:) so in the saying, نَظَرَ بِجُوهِ سَوْءٍ and بِجِيهِ سَوْءٍ [He looked with an evil face or countenance]. (Lh, K.)
