جِيلٌ

A nation, people, race, tribe, or family of mankind; (S, Msb, K;) such as the Turks, and the Greeks, (S. TA,) and the Chinese: (TA:) plural أَجْيَالٌ (M, Msb, TA) and جِيلَانٌ. (M, TA.)

And A generation of men. (TA.)
