The Sacred House; [the square, or cubic, building, in the centre of the Temple of Mekkeh]: (S, K:) said to be so called because of its square [or cubic] form: (S:) or because of its height and its square form: also called كَعْبَةُ البَيْتِ [The Kaabeh of the House (of God)]. (TA.)
