كَلٌّ

A burden; synonym ثِقْلٌ: (S, Mgh, Msb, K:) a person, or persons, whom one has to support: synonym عَيَّلٌ, (K,) and عِيَالٌ: (S, Mgh, Msb, K:) applied to one and to more. (Msb.) See an example voce ذِمَّةٌ (last sentence but two).
