He joined and sewed together, or put together and sewed, the two oblong pieces of cloth of the garment; (S, Msb, K;) and ↓لَفَّقَ, verbal noun تَلْفِيقٌ, signifies the same, and is more common; or has an intensive signification. (TA.)
