لَاءَ

, aorist يَلُوْءُ, verbal noun لَوْءَةٌ, apparently, He was foul, ugly, or deformed, in countenance.] لَوْءَةٌ, according to the K, is the same as سَوْءَةٌ; but this is probably a mistake for شَوْءَةٌ, The being foul, ugly, or deformed, in countenance; [which is the signification of لَوَّةٌ]. هٰذَا
وَاللّٰهِ الشَّوْءَةُ وَاللَّوْءَةُ, and اللَّوَّةُ, [apparently, This, by Allah, is foulness and ugliness!] (TA [apparently from the T.])
