(TA.) 2.A place where hides are tanned. (As, Ks, S, K.) 3.Also, according to some, Tan, or that with which one tans. (TA.) 4.This word is not to be pronounced without ء, because مَنِيَّةٌ signifies “ death. ” (MF.)
