مَيْبَةٌ

A certain remedy, or medicine: (K:) [an arabicized word] from the Persian مَىْ “ a beverage, ” and بِهْ “ a quince: ” quince-beverage; diacydonium; a medicine prepared of the juice of quinces: some of it is raw; and some, not raw: some is perfumed; and some, not perfumed.
