قَفًا

The back of the neck. (S, Msb, K.)

عَيْنَاهُ فِى قَفَاهُ is said of him who is put to flight. because he looks behind him, fearing pursuit. (TA in article انف.) And جَعَلَ أَنْفَهُ فِى قَفَاهُ: see أَنْفٌ.
