قَرِينٌ

An associate; a comrade; a companion. (S, K.) قَرِينَةٌ A connexion; relation.

قَرِينَةٌ [A clause of rhyming prose, considered as connected with the similar clause preceding or following; the two together being termed قرينتان]. (Har, pp. 9, 23.)
