رَصِيعَةٌ

The knot that is in the bridle (اللِّجَام), by the cheek (المُعَذَّر), resembling a [small piece of money such as is called] فَلْس. (K.)
2.
A ring, of those with which a sword is ornamented: (S:) or the round ornament of a sword: (IDrd, K:) or any round ring in the ornamental part of a sword or saddle or other thing: (IDrd, K: *) or a plaited thong between the suspensory thong, or shoulder-belt, and the scabbard, of the sword; as also رَصِيعٌ: or [the plural signifies] plaited thongs in the lower parts of the suspensory thongs of the sword; and a dialect var. is with س; (TA;) i. e. رَسَايءِعُ, (K and TA in article رسع,) on the authority of ISh. (TA in that article) The plural of رَصِيعَةٌ (S, K) in all the senses explained above (K, TA) is رَصَايءِعُ. (S, K.)
