مِرْمًى

An instrument for throwing, or casting, or shooting: plural مَرَامٍ. (Har p. 54.) [Hence,] مَرَامِى نِيرَانٍ [Engines for throwing fire upon the enemy]. (S and K voce حَرَّاقَةٌ.) [See also مِرْمَاةٌ.]
