سَنْدَلٌ

, or سَمَنْدَلٌ, (according to different copies of the S,) A certain bird, that eats [the poisonous plant called] بِيش [generally applied to the common wolf's-bane, aconitum napellus]: on the authority of El-Jáhidh. (S.) [See also article سمندل.]
