سَقِيطٌ

Hoar-frost, or rime; i. e. dew that falls and congeals upon the ground; (S, M, K;) also called جَلِيدٌ and ضَرِيبٌ; (S in article جلد;) of the dialect of Teiyi. (M.)

Snow; (S, TA;) as also سَقْطٌ. (K, TA.)

Hail: (K:) or this is called سَقِيطُ السَّحَابِ. (M, TA.)

What falls, or has fallen, of dew, (M, K, TA,) upon the ground; (M, TA;) as also سَقْطٌ. (K, TA.)

دُرٌّسَقِيطٌ Scattered pearls. (TA.) And وَرَقٌ سِقَاطٌ [Scattered leaves]: the latter word is plural of سَقِيطٌ, like as طِوَالٌ is plural of طَوِيلٌ. (TA.)
