سَاخَتْ قَوَايءِمُهُ

, (S, Msb, K,) or قَوَايءِمُ الدَّابَّةِ, (A,) فِى الأَرْضِ, (S, Msb,) or بِالأَرْضِ, (A,) aorist تَسُوخُ, (S, A, Msb,) verbal noun سَوْخٌ (L, Msb) and سُوءُوخٌ and سَوَخَانٌ, (L,) His legs, or the legs of the beast, sank into the ground: (Msb, * TA:) or sank, and became concealed, in the ground or earth: (S, Msb, * TA:) and so سَاخَتْ, aorist تَسِيخُ, (S, Msb, TA,) verbal noun سَيْخٌ (Msb) [and سَيَخَانٌ: see article سيخ]: and in like manner one says of the feet: (A, TA:) like ثَاخَتْ. And سَاخَ, (L, K,) aorist يَسُوخُ, (L,) It (a thing) sank [in water &c.], or subsided; synonym رَسَبَ. (L, K.)

And سَاخَتْ بِهِمُ الأَرْضُ, (A, L, Msb, K,) aorist تَسُوخُ, (L, Msb,) verbal noun سَوْخٌ (L, Msb, K) and سُوءُوخٌ and سَوَخَانٌ, (L, K,) The ground, or earth, sank with them; or sank with them and swallowed them up or enclosed them; synonym اِنْخَسَفَتْ, (L, K,) or خَسَفَتْ: and so سَاخَتْ, aorist تَسِيخُ, verbal noun سَيْخٌ.
