وَتَاوِتُ

i. q. وَسَاوِسُ Evil suggestions, &c. (K.) The س is thus changed, in poetry, into ت, as in نَاتٌ and أَكْيَاتٌ. (MF.)

وَتٌّ

(L, K) and وُتٌّ and وُتَّةٌ (K) or وَتَّةٌ (L) The cry of the bird called وَرَشَان. (AA, L, K.) أَوْتَى signifies He cried as cries the ورشان. (IAar, L.)
