وَهِمَ فِى الحِسَابِ

, (S, Mgh, Msb, K,) aorist يَوْهِمُ, verbal noun وَهْمٌ, (S, Msb,) He committed an error, or a mistake, in the reckoning, or calculation; (S, Mgh, Msb, K;) as also فِيهِ ↓ أَوْهَمَ: (Mgh, Msb:) and committed an inadvertence therein. (S.) [And in like manner, فِى قَوْلِهِ in his saying.] It is said in a tradition of 'Alee, إِنَّمَا السَّادِقُ هٰذَا ↓ قَالَ الشَّاهِدَانِ أَوْهَمْنَا or وَهِمْنَا according to different readings [The two witnesses said, We have committed a mistake, or misconception: the thief is only this]. (Mgh.)

وَهَمْتُ الشَّىْءَ, (Mgh, Msb, *) aorist أَهِمُ, verbal noun وَهْمٌ, (Mgh,) [I thought of the thing;] the thing occurred in my mind. (Mgh, Msb, *) And وَهَمْتُ فِى الشَّىْءِ, (S, K,) or إِلَى الشَّىْءِ, (Msb,) aorist as above, (S, Msb, K,) and so the verbal noun, (S, Msb,) I thought of the thing, (S, Msb, K,) while desiring to think of another thing. (S, Msb.)
