زَقْمَةٌ

Plague, or pestilence; synonym طَاعُونٌ. (Th, K.) One says, رَمَاهُ اللّٰهُ بِالزَّقْمَةِ [God smote him, or may God smite him, with the plague, or pestilence]. (TK.)
