شَنْظَاةٌ

The head, or top, of a mountain, (K, TA,) [and so ↓ شَظِيَّةٌ, (Freytag, from the Deewán of the Hudhalees,)] resembling the شُرْفَة [q. v.] of a mosque: plural شَنَاظٍ: and الجِبَالِ ↓ شَوَاظِى [likewise] signifies the heads, or tops, of the mountains. (TA.)
