شَبَتِ الفَرَسُ, (K,) verbal noun as above, (TA,) The mare stood upon her hind legs. (K.) [It is added in the TA that the vulgar say شبّت: but see article شب, where a similar meaning is assigned to شَبَّ said of a horse.]
