Also i. q.صَاحِبُ شُفْعَةٍ; (S, K;) [meaning A possessor of the right termedشُفْعَة; or] one who demands, and is granted, as a neighbour [or a partner], in preference to him whose connexion is more remote, the right of purchasing a house [or piece of land] that is to be sold. (TA.)
