قَوْمٌ شُيُومٌ

A people, or party, in a state of security: occurring in a tradition: and it is said that شيوم is an Abyssinian word: but, as some relate the tradition, it is سُيُومٌ [q. v., voce سَايءِمٌ, of which it is said to be plural]. (TA.)
