ذرّح الطَّعَامَ

, (S, K,) verbal noun تَذْرِيحٌ; (S;) and ↓ ذَرَحَهُ, aorist ذَرِحَ ; (K;) He put ذَرَارِيح [or cantharides] into the food. (S, K.)

ذرّحه فِى المَاءِ, verbal noun as above, He put a small quantity of it, namely, saffron, &c., into the water. (S.)

And ذرّح, [or ذرّح لَبَنَهُ, (see ذَرَاحٌ, below,)] He poured water into his milk, in order that it might become much in quantity. (TA.)

تَذْرِيحٌ also signifies The smearing with clay a new [water-vessel of skin such as is called] إِدَاوَاة, in order that its odour may become good. (AA, K. *)
