The food, or victuals, of soldiers; as also ↓ عُلُوفَةٌ [which is a plural of ↓ عَلَفٌ, or perhaps it is correctly ↓ عَلُوفَةٌ, which is explained by Golius as meaning a stipend, peculiarly of a soldier]. (KL.)
