عِتْقٌ

[mentioned above as a verbal noun and also as a simple subst. (see 1)] i. q. نَجَابَةٌ [apparently as a quality of a horse and the like, meaning Generousness, excellence, or swiftness: see 1, first and second sentences]. (K.)

And i. q. كَرَمٌ [Generousness, generosity, or nobility]; (S, Mgh, O, K;) as in the saying, مَا أَبْيَنَ العِتْقَ فِى وَجْهِ فُلَانٍ [How manifest is generousness, &c., in the face of such a one!]. (S, O.)
