حَلَاوَاءُ, (S, K,) The middle of the back of the neck: (T, S, Msb, K:) or, as some say, the [small protuberance termed] فَأْس of [or rather above] the back of the neck. (T.)

حُلَاوَةٌ is also said to signify the same as حُلَاءَةٌ, i. e. What is rubbed between two stones, to be used as a collyrium. (TA. [See the latter of these two words in article حلأ.])
