And بَلِدُوا, aorist بَلَدَ ; (M, K;) and بَلَدُوا, aorist بَلُدَ ; (K;) or the latter is correctly بلّدوا; (M, * TA;) They kept to the ground, fighting upon it: (M, K:) said to be derived from بِلَادُ الأَرْضِ. (TA.)
