بَمٌّ

العُودِ م أَوِ الوَتَرُ الخ:]) or (so in the K) it is the thick [or bass] chord of the lute: (S, K:) the word is foreign: (M:) [in Persian بَمْ:] Az says that it is not Arabic. (TA.)
