بَرَاءَةٌ

A writing of [i. e. conferring] immunity or exemption: from بَرِيءَ مِنَ الدَّيْنِ and العَيْب, of which it is the verbal noun: plural بَرَااتٌ, with medd: بَرَاوَاتٌ is [plural of بَرَاةٌ, and both of these are] vulgar. (Mgh.)
